After dating each other for 5 years, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot in April this year. While their love story is out in the media, not much was known about how life changed for the actors after tying the knot. Finally, in the first episode of Koffee With Karan 7, Alia spoke about the changes she experienced after entering the traditional Kapoor household.
Alia said, "I have been brought up between me, my mum, my sister and my father. That was it. Our interaction was very limited. We were a very close family, but we were not a big family. We did not have these massive celebrations or get-togethers. Everybody did their own thing. Enter the Kapoor family, where everyone does everything together. You eat together, do aarti together, everything is done together. It was cute."
She further added, "Ranbir would make fun of me. He would ask, "Jai karna aata hai?" I have become a pro now. I have been through so many moments of culture because of the Kapoor family that it has given me a new layer in my life. Ranbir and I have been living together for quite some time and he told me that he wants to have a Diwali puja at our house and I have to make it happen."
When host Karan Johar shared, "At the wedding, Ranbir was listening to every single word said by the pandit." Alia added, "Ranbir was telling the pandit, inko zara samjhaiye." Karan revealed, "Alia was like sunset ko raha, I want to take my picture."
Alia and Ranbir are expecting their first child in December this year.
