On April 14, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt went from boyfriend-girlfriend to husband-wife. They tied the knot in a simple and close-knit ceremony at their Bandra residence with their family members and friends in attendance. The couple, after the intimate wedding, stepped out to greet the paparazzi and posed for pictures. Now, in the opening episode of Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan 7, Alia had to talk about her marriage for 30 seconds.
The actress said, "The day of my wedding was extremely simple. I wanted it no other way. I wanted to get married in my house. Just before that, I went down to get ready and Ranbir and I had lunch together. We shook hands and said, "Bye girlfriend and boyfriend as we will no longer be boyfriend and girlfriend". When the pheras began, it was extremely special looking at all my family members and friends. The icing on the cake was the beautiful pictures."
Talking about Alia and Ranbir's wedding, Karan said on his show that the actor had tears in his eyes when he saw his bride. He shared, "When Alia came out for the pheras, everyone was crying. I never thought I would see Ranbir Kapoor in tears."
Ranbir and Alia dated for 5 years before tying the knot. Now, they are expecting their first child together.
