Ajay Devgn's Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness & Akshay Kumar's Cuttputlli become most-watched Hindi web show & film of 2022; Panchayat 2 & A Thursday are the most-liked series and film

The year that went by was high on entertainment. Co-existing with theatres, the OTT space offered a range of diverse content over 12 months and kept the audience engaged with good storytelling. Now, as the year at films and OTT has begun, Ormax released the list of the most-watched web shows and web films. 

Ajay Devgn's OTT debut, Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness, was the most-watched Hindi web show of the year with 35.2 million views on Disney+ Hotstar. Aashram 3, starring Bobby Deol, came second with 34.3 million views on MX Player. Panchayat 2 received 29.6 million views on Amazon Prime Video and became the third most-watched show. Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach with 23 million views and The Great Indian Murder with 23 million views were also on the list. Both streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.

Speaking of the most-watched films, Akshay Kumar's Cuttputlli on Disney+ Hotstar topped the list with 26.9 million views. Yami Gautam's A Thursday (25.5 million views) and Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar's Govinda Naam Mera (24.4 million views) came second and third respectively. Karan Johar-produced Gehraiyaan garnered 22.3 million views on Amazon Prime Video and Kartik Aaryan's Freddy had 20.9 million views. They were fourth and fifth on the list. 

Apart from this, Ormax also released the list of the most-liked web shows and web films. Panchayat 2 was the most-liked Hindi web show of the year, followed by Ishwak Singh and Jim Sarbh's Rocket Boys. Shefali Shah's Delhi Crime 2 was also mentioned. A Thursday was the most-liked Hindi film of the year, followed by Kaun Pravin Tambe, and Forensic on ZEE5.
