Citadel: Priyanka Chopra Jonas shares first looks from web series, reveals her character’s name & romantic relationship with Richard Madden in the Russo Brothers spy thriller

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has shared the first look from her upcoming series Citadel, helmed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo aka The Russo Brothers. The first look pictures reveal her character profile and her name, Nadia Sinh in the series. The pictures show Priyanka in a feisty avatar as she indulges in hand-to-hand combat and we also get to see that her agent profile reads as ‘deceased’ according to the files. We also see her with Richard Madden who plays Mason Kane that hints at a possible romance between the two.

Sharing the pictures on social media, Priyanka wrote, “First look at @citadelonprime via @vanityfair #CitadelOnPrime.” Starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the Citadel franchise is an action-packed series which also delves on emotions and sentiments. The project is backed by Amazon Studios and will premiere on Prime Video. This first two episodes will premiere on Prime Video on April 28.

Both Priyanka and Richard play elite spies who work for Citadel, a spy organization that has no allegiance to any country. The series follows Nadia and Kane who must piece together what happened as their memories have been wiped out by a shadowy organization called Manticore. The six-episode series follows the two as it reveals secrets from the spies’ past as they reunite to make headway of their present as they play dual characters. The series also stars Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville.

Citadel’s Indian series is being developed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of Raj & DK fame and will be headlined by Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The makers had described the series as a multi-layered global franchise with interconnected local language productions from India, Italy and Mexico,” and called the US version as the “mothership” of the project. David Weil serves as the showrunner.
