Mumbaikar teaser: Vijay Sethupathi, Vikrant Massey star in Santosh Sivan’s Hindi remake of Maanagaram, bring a quirky tale of kidnapping gone wrong

The teaser of Vijay Sethupathi, Vikrant Massey and Ranvir Shorey’s Mumbaikar has been released today. The film is the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Maanagaram and is directed by Santosh Sivan. The thriller is set in Mumbai over 24 hours and captures the madness and chaos of a kidnapping gone wrong with quirky and funny characters.

The teaser shows Vijay’s character mistakenly kidnapping the wrong child from a school who turns out to be the son of a Mumbai don played by Shorey. The kid manages to run away only to further more chaos and confusion.

Mumbaikar also stars Hridhu Haroon, Sachin Khedekar, Tanya Maniktala and Sanjay Mishra. It is produced by Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios and Riya Shibu.

Mumbaikar will also be dubbed in Tamil and will be streaming for free on June 2, 2023 on Jio Cinema.
