After her dramatic appearance in a Ralph Lauren trench coat ensemble with a cathedral train at Met Gala last year, all eyes were set at Priyanka Chopra’s choice of outfit at Met Gala 2018. And oh boy, the global fashion industry owes it to her for not disappointing again.

This time again, heads turned and eyes popped as Priyanka walked down the red carpet wearing Ralph Lauren again. The Quantico actress wore a deep burgundy strapless velvet gown with an with an embellished gold chainmail coif. Adhering to the theme of prestigious event’s night -- Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, Priyanka’s outfit gave a high priestess vibe and reminded us of medieval times, especially the dramatic golden, beaded details of the hood.

And adding to the theatrics, Ralph Lauren’s Instagram page revealed that the hood is hand-crafted with over 250 hours of embroidery. “This Ralph Lauren creation is completely crafted by hand, with Swarovski crystals, meticulous beadwork, and over 250 hours of embroidery.”

Apart from her ensemble, PeeCee make-up was also on point. Styled by fashion stylist Cristina Ehrlich, the golden sparkles for eye-shadow and a deep red lip-colour added the much-needed oomph factor. Her look was completed with mid-parted and coiffed hair and golden and stone-studded rings.
