Love is in the air and so are the wedding shenanigans as one of Bollywood’s beloved couple Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar solidified their commitment towards each other after three years of dating. The duo took the plunge on Saturday, February 19, and said ‘I do’ in a fun, intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends at Farhan’s Khandala farmhouse.
By the looks of the pictures circulating online, the wedding ceremony looked like a casual afternoon affair with laughter and celebrations all around. And so, for the do, the couple picked out fusion looks that matched the vibe.
Merging traditions with modern glamour, Farhan and Shibani gave us the best of both worlds with their wedding looks. While the groom opted for a dapper look in a black tuxedo, bride Shibani was a delight to behold in her bridal gown-lehenga from label JADE by Monica & Karishma. The look featured a strapless, corset bustier blouse teamed with a mermaid skirt and a scalloped dupatta strategically placed as a veil on her head. Exhibiting quintessential bridal red hue with a contemporary silhouette, the diva was a perfect combination of East meets West! For the accessories, the bride chose to opt for pointy Aquazzura pumps along with minimalistic ruby jewels.
Keeping it fun and fuss-free, Shibani dialed down on the drama and opted for a neutral glam with nude lips and styled her tresses in soft curls. That’s all it took to make her look like a modern bride!
