Nakuul Mehta is one of the most popular and sought after actors in the TV industry. The actor commands an enviable fan base and is best known for his role in Ishqbaaz. He is currently ruling the small screen as Ram Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 opposite Disha Parmar. However, his role in the series has come to an end after playing the lead for year and a half. Nakuul confirmed that he has quit the show and said that he felt it was the right time to move on from Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2.
In an interview with a leading daily, Nakuul said that he was ready to move on from the show and called it an ‘enriching and satisfying’ journey. He said, “The show got a lot of love though many people had doubts when we started because we took on an iconic show (and remade it). But for it to have the journey and reach out to people the way it has, I think has been truly special. I feel creatively full having been a part of it for so long. The story is going to places and I feel going ahead there’s nothing new I can bring to it. I will miss playing Ram."
He further said, “I feel I have paid my dues to the makers and the audiences in the last 18 months. Moreover, you must know when to go and now is the time to go. It is tempting to stay on and continue with a show and receive love, but what more is my question? I look at challenging myself.”
Nakuul rose to fame with Ishqbaaz and also worked in Dil Bole Oberoi. He also commands a huge fan base on social media and keeps his fans entertained with his poetry, humour and videos.
