Nakuul Mehta won hearts with his portrayal of Ram Kapoor in the second season of Bade Acche Lagte Hain. Now, a year and a half later, the actor confirmed his exit from the show. While the character retains, Nakuul will no longer play it. He is being replaced by Hiten Tejwani.
Hiten confirmed stepping in as Ram Kapoor in Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2. He told a leading daily, "It’s quite natural to feel the pressure when you are entering a show midway. But I don’t take such pressures in life. When I take up a role, I want to give it my all. The intention is to do justice to the role. In this case too, I’m hoping for the best."

In an official statement to a leading daily, Nakuul revealed the reason behind bidding adieu to Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2. He shared, "The show got a lot of love though many people had doubts when we started because we took on an iconic show (and remade it). But for it to have the journey and reach out to people the way it has, I think has been truly special. I feel creatively full having been a part of it for so long. The story is going to places and I feel going ahead there’s nothing new I can bring to it. I will miss playing Ram."
Nakuul was paired opposite Disha Parmar in Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2.
