It was twice as nice as R|Elan presented Two Point Two by Anvita Sharma and Six5Six by Avni Aneja at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI at Jio World Garden.
The Two Point Two collection was called A Warrior’s Journey, inspired by the path of growth and self-discovery. It takes its cue from the Shu-Ha-Ri philosophy which is a Japanese martial arts concept that outlines a three-stage process of learning, from mastering the basics, to breaking the rules, to creating something new. It also stands for embracing and navigating chaos. The philosophy is closely tied to the values of the samurai, who were known for their discipline, honour and respect. The collection amalgamated all these concepts with an aim to capture the energy, creativity and individuality of Japanese streetwear and the elegance and refinement of traditional intricate hand-drawn portraits of samurai warriors.
The Six5Six collection was titled The Uniform, inspired by postcards, personal films and digital photographs collected by the designer during her travels. The collection comprised sturdy, comfortable denims, oversized resort shirts, multi-purpose jackets and bombers that are perfect to wear to the airport, on the flight or during the course of one’s holiday.
