Gauri Khan, the designer and wife of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, has been charged with a crime. An FIR has been lodged against Gauri under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code (criminal breach of trust). The FIR was filed in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

On March 1, an FIR was filed in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, against Gauri Khan over a property dispute. The case against Gauri Khan has been filed under Indian Criminal Code section 409 (criminal breach of trust) (IPC). Tulsiyani Construction and Development Company CMD Anil Kumar Tulsiyani and its director Mahesh Tulsiyani were also named in the FIR.

The complaint was filed by a Mumbai resident, identified as Jaswant Shah, who alleged that the company -- of which Gauri was the brand ambassador -- failed to give possession of a flat despite charging Rs 86 lakh.

The complainant said he bought the flat after being influenced by brand ambassador Gauri Khan. The complainant alleged that the flat located in Tulsiyani Golf View at Lucknow's Sushant Golf City area was given to someone else.
