The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a corruption case against IRS officer and former Mumbai zonal chief of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Sameer Wankhede, who arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the alleged drugs-on-cruise case two years ago.
On October 2, 2021, Wankhede and his officers had raided the cruise ship off the city’s coast and taken Aryan and his friends in custody on alleged drugs charge. However, they were later released as nothing could be proved against them and they were acquitted of all charges in May 2022.
