Renowned filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj's son Aasmaan Bhardwaj is making his feature film directorial debut with Kuttey. Headlined by Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Madan and Shardul Bhardwaj, the film was announced in August 2021. Now, over a year later, it has a new release date.
In a statement, the makers of Kuttey wrote, "Kuttey will release in cinemas on January 13, 2023. The film stars Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Madan & Shardul Bhardwaj. Kuttey is directed by Aasmaan Bhardwaj, presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg and Rekha Bhardwaj."
As per reports, Tabu will play a corrupt police constable in the film while Arjun will be seen as a bad cop. Konkona will be seen as a Naxalite and Radhika will play the role of a college student. Further details are yet to be disclosed. Kuttey was initially scheduled to release on November 4.
The new release date of Kuttey was announced soon after Adipurush got postponed. The Om Raut directorial was scheduled to release on January 12, 2023, but it will now hit theatres on June 16, 2023.
