The third installment of Aashiqui franchise starring Kartik Aaryan in lead role was announced earlier this year! Directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar the film has created quite a buzz. Now, the dynamic trio recently met at Bhushan’s T-Series office to discuss the way ahead.
Ever since the film was announced, the fans have been waiting eagerly for more information about the film. Well, the wait might finally be over very soon. While Kartik Aaryan and T-Series have had quite a journey together, this will be the actor's first film with Anurag Basu.
The Aashiqui franchise was started in 1990 when the first film released starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal in the lead along with Tom Alter and Deepak Tijory and was helmed by Mahesh Bhatt. It was followed by Aashiqui 2 in 2013 that featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role. It was directed by Mohit Suri.
The female lead opposite Kartik for Aashiqui 3 is still not locked yet. Kartik had shared the motion poster of Aashiqui 3 on Instagram, and wrote, “Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum/ Zeher Zindagi Ka Pi Lenge Hum #Aashiqui3. This one is going to be heart-wrenching!! My First with Basu Da (Anurag Basu).”
