Umair Sandhu, who claims to be a member of the Overseas Censor Board, tweeted on Saturday that Ajay Devgn has an extramarital affair with Rakul Preet Singh. Ajay, married to Kajol since 1999, has worked with Rakul on multiple projects in the recent past. On the other hand, the actress is dating Jackky Bhagnani. After the tweet went viral, the superstar's team fired at Umair for spreading false news. In an official statement, the team slammed him and said there's no proof of him being a member of any censor board in any country. 

"This is with regards to Umair Sandhu who has in recent times made claims to have authentic industry information, however, he has been spreading false news and fabricating lies. There is no authentic information or official proof of Umair Sandhu being part of any kind of censor board in any county. We have checked with many international censor associations to authenticate this news however we have no country supporting him being part of their censor advisory," the statement read.

Ajay's team further added, "No individual from any government body spreads such malicious lies. This is just a way of grabbing attention and getting mentions in media outlets to get traction. I would request editors and media desk teams to kindly fact-check before putting out irrelevant and false stories and encouraging these fake accounts." 

In his tweet, Umair wrote, "BREAKING ! #AjayDevgn is really liking #RakulPreetSingh now a days ! He has feelings about her !! Oh Another New Extra Marital Affair in Bollywood." Recently, Umair claimed that Salman Khan is dating his Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star Pooja Hegde. Their respective teams are yet to react to the rumour. He was the one who tweeted about trouble in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's marriage.
