Ayushmann Khurrana is returning to the silver screen as Pooja in the sequel of his hit film Dream Girl. Co-starring Ananya Panday, the rom-com is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. Ahead of Valentine's Day, the makers of Dream Girl 2 dropped in the release date announcement teaser. The video had a Pathaan and Jawan connection.
In the teaser, Ayushmann can be seen dressed in a blingy lehenga with a backless blouse. Pooja, the name of Ayushmann's character in the franchise, receives a call from Pathaan wishing her a happy Valentine's Day. As he continues flirting with Pooja, Pathaan says, 'meri Jawan aa aarahi hai' and asks when would she be coming. Pooja then reveals she plans to come on July 7, which is the release date of Dream Girl 2.
Sharing the teaser, Balaji Motion Pictures wrote on the official Instagram page, "Valentine’s pe @pooja___dreamgirl ne kiya elaan to the Pathaan! July ki #7KoSaathMein hogi Pooja! Saachiiii? Smoochieee! "
Dream Girl 2 also stars Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh and Abhishek Banerjee. The film is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.
