Ranbir Kapoor is travelling to different corners of the country to promote his upcoming film, titled Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. As a part of the strategy, he and Shraddha Kapoor will not be seen promoting the film together. On Sunday, the actor was in Kolkata.
Ranbir promoted Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar at the renowned Eden Gardens by playing a friendly match with Sourav Ganguly. The actor and the former cricketer posed for pictures. Sourav was seen wearing a T-shirt that read, "Dada's Jhoothi XI" whereas Ranbir's T-shirt had "Ranbir's Makkaar XI" written on it.
Ranbir and Sourav's pictures came at a time when rumours are rife that the actor will be headlining the former cricketer's much-talked-about biopic. While an official confirmation is awaited, reports stated that he will be starting the prep for the film soon. Interestingly, Luv Ranjan, who is directing and producing Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, is also bankrolling Sourav's biopic.
Co-starring Dimple Kapadia, Anubhav Singh Bassi and Boney Kapoor, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series’ Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. It is all set to have a festive release worldwide in cinemas on Holi, March 8, 2023.
