Satish Kaushik, who succumbed to a massive heart attack during the wee hours of Thursday, will be cremated today. In a statement from the family, it has been informed that the funeral will take place around 5 pm today in Mumbai. The actor-director's mortal remains are expected to reach his residence this afternoon

"The cremation procession of Mr. Satish Kaushik ji will take place at 5 pm today. The same will proceed from his residency to the Versova Crematorium. Please keep him and the entire family in your prayers," the statement read.

Satish's postmortem will be done in Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital. After complaining of uneasiness, he was rushed to the Fortis Hospital in Gurgaon. He suffered a heart attack in the car while being taken to the hospital. Satish was in Delhi to meet his friend. 

Satish is survived by his wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika.
