While Ajay Devgn's Bholaa is just a couple of days away from its release, the superstar gave his fans yet another surprise. His much-awaited and delayed project Maidaan is finally ready for the audience. After a long wait, the biographical film will be releasing on the silver screen on June 23.
Maidaan is the story of the Indian football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim, who brought glory to India. The release date of the film was announced today with a new poster featuring Ajay. The maker also confirmed that the teaser of Maidaan will be unveiled on March 30. Interestingly, the audience of Bholaa will get to see the teaser of Ajay's next on the big screen.

The film is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. Maidaan was originally scheduled to release on November 27, 2020. It got postponed due to the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. After clearing several hurdles, the makers locked June 3, 2022, for its release. Unfortunately, it got postponed once again to February 17, 2023, and now to June 23, 2023.
Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta, the screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively. The film also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh.
