Canadian poet Rupi Kaur is known for her blank verse poetry. She has been named on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and has won several literary awards. However, a new video of Rupi reading a poem from her self-published book Milk and Honey has got the netizens asking her to take recitation and poetry classes as they called her ‘absolute cringe’.
Taking to Twitter, a user shared Rupi’s TikTok video which went viral but for all the wrong reasons. The poet has made internet cringe with a dash of goosebumps.

Now that I know how Rupi Kaur reads her own poems I am done defending her work. If this is the intended cadence and rhythm, I am no longer willling to accept it. https://t.co/UyzMgoODHR

i'm sure she's a nice woman but "your fingers were dipped inside me" is such a viscerally vomit inducing execution of imagery that it turns me off from any of her future works
