PeepingMoon Exclusive: Sonakshi Sinha joins Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Manushi Chhillar in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Yesterday’s news on Bollywood websites was that Miss World Manushi Chhillar had joined Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in Ali Abbas Zafar’s action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Some additionally reported that Janhvi Kapoor was also in the film and that Akshay, for once, would have no female lead opposite him. It was partly true, partly false news.

Today’s news, brought to you exclusively by PeepingMoon.com, is that Akshay will indeed have a heroine opposite him in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and the actress chosen for that role is Sonakshi Sinha. This will be the seventh film that Akshay and Sonakshi are starring in together after their casting as the romantic leads of Prabhu Deva’s Rowdy Rathore in 2012. They last acted together in Jagan Shakti’s Mission Mangal of 2019.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, billed as one of Bollywood’s biggest actioners, is set to go on the floors in January 2023. The film, produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, will have an international action team. Prep work is in full swing. The film is to feature three female leads and after locking Manushi and Sonakshi to play two of these three characters, Ali is on the lookout for his third heroine. PeepingMoon.com has learned that the director has shortlisted a few names but is keeping them close to his chest.

Tiger Shroff, who brings his own brand of action, romance and emotion to a film, was last seen earlier this year in Heropanti 2. Before that, he did Baaghi 3 in 2019. The action wiz kid will add Bade Miyan Chote Miyan to his other big actioner in 2023, Vikas Bahl’s Ganapath. His Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Akshay will be similar to David Dhawan’s comedy of 1988 that had Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Raveena Tandon and Ramya Krishnan. While Ali’s Bade Miya Chote Miyan will be loaded with action, Akshay and Tiger will provide several lighter moments too

The pairing of Akshay and Sonakshi has given Bade Miyan Chote Miyan another shot in the arm. They did Once Upon Time in Mumbai (2010) and its sequel in 2013. But their most memorable performances as a Bollywood jodi have been in Rowdy Rathore (2012), Boss (2013) and Holiday (2014). Fans of the two actors will be excited to know that they are coming together again.
