PeepingMoon Exclusive: Abhishek Kapoor to launch Aaman Devgan in an action-adventure, Ajay Devgn to feature in a pivotal role in his nephew's debut film

Abhishek Kapoor has introduced many newcomers in his movies. The filmmaker launched Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai in the 2008 musical drama, Rock On, and later introduced Sushant Singh Rajput in the iconic friendship film, Kai Po Che. He also directed Kedarnath, which launched Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. Known for successfully nurturing newcomers, the director is now set to introduce another bright newcomer into the Hindi film industry.
 
Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learnt that Abhishek Kapoor is launching Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan in his next directorial project. The film is said to be an action-adventure and will also star Ajay Devgn alongside the newcomer. While Aaman will play the lead in this yet-untitled film, Ajay will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar. Although the plot and other details of the film are being kept under wraps for the time being, we have heard that pre-production is already underway and shooting will begin in the summer of this year. The film is believed to be a big-scale theatrical outing and will be produced by Pragya Kapoor and Ronnie Screwvala.

Aaman Devgan is the younger son of Ajay Devgn’s sister, Neelam and has always wanted to pursue a career in film. While details about him are currently being kept under wraps, we have heard that he has already begun attending workshops.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is gearing up for two releases this year. His next action-packed directorial venture, Bholaa, hits cinemas on March 30, and will be followed by Amit Sharma's highly anticipated sports biopic, Maidaan, on May 12. On the work front, Ajay is next doing a thriller film with Neeraj Pandey and then Rohit Shetty's Singham 3. He is expected to shoot for Aaman's film after finishing the Neeraj Pandey directorial.
