PeepingMoon Exclusive: Vidyut Jammwal replaces Tiger Shroff in Attack director Lakshya Raj Anand's next

Peepingmoon.com exclusively revealed to readers in June 2022 that Attack director Lakshya Raj Anand is teaming up with Tiger Shroff for his next project. Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment was producing this action thriller, which was supposed to roll out late last year. However, the project didn’t materialize and was put on the backburner. Lakshya and Tiger were then talking about collaborating on a different project in 2023, but that seems unlikely now as we hear Tiger has backed out of that film as well.

Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Lakshya Raj Anand is now making his next directorial project with Vidyut Jammwal. The Commando actor has come aboard the film after Tiger left the project due to scheduling issues. The yet-untitled film is believed to be an amalgamation of emotion and action and will see Vidyut venturing into uncharted territory. "Expect an action spectacle from this collaboration. Vidyut is one of the biggest action stars in Indian cinema, while Lakshya is a filmmaker with great action-packed work behind him as an AD on films like Ek Tha Tiger and Bang Bang. His debut film, Attack, was highly praised for its action stunts, and the director is only going one step further with his next. Both the actor and director are excited for this collaboration and plan to start shooting around June 2023," a source close to the project told us.

Shaailesh R. Singh, who has produced many critically acclaimed movies across scales and genres like Simran, Omerta, Thalaivii, Judgmentall Hai Kya, and Hurdang, among others, will produce this film. The Vidyut Jammwal-starrer will mark his company Karma Media & Entertainment’s first big-scale action flick. It will also be their first project planned for a 2024 release. This year, the banner has three films and one web series lined up, which include Ajay Bahl’s The Lady Killer starring Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, Pratik Gandhi’s Dedh Bigha Zameen, and an edge-of-the-seat courtroom drama, Setu, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi. On the web front, they have a Disney+ Hotstar series, Lootere, slated to premiere in the middle of this year. The show is directed by Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story co-director Jai Mehta, and stars Vivek Gomber, Deepak Tijori, Rajat Kapoor, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Gaurav Sharma in lead roles.

Vidyut Jammwal is expected to start shooting for the Lakshya Raj Anand film after finishing his current assignments. He is currently filming for Commando 3 director Aditya Datt’s Crakk: Jeethegaa Toh Jeeyegaa, which also stars Arjun Rampal as the antagonist and Jacqueline Fernandez as the leading lady. Vidyut also has his maiden production venture, IB71, slated to release this year. The espionage thriller directed by Sankalp Reddy is based on a true story about how Indian intelligence officers outwitted the entire Pakistani establishment and gave the Indian armed forces the necessary advantage to face a two-front war.
