Deepika Padukone - 82°E
The amazing actor and then producer Deepika Padukone has completed 15 years in the industry and on that note, she added one more feather to her cap by exclusively launching her new skincare and beauty brand, 82°E this year. The Brand resorts to clinically tested and scientifically proven skincare products that are cruelty-free as well as vegan. 82°E’s initial skincare launch includes a Moisturizer named ‘Ashwagandha Bounce’, Sunscreen drops ‘Patchouli Glow’, and a face oil ‘Bakuchiol Slip.’ The products are exclusively available on their site.
Alia Bhatt – Edamamma Maternity Wear
2 years ago, Alia introduced a kid apparel brand Ed-A-Mamma and got questioned as to why she is doing a kid brand when she doesn’t have kids. This year the actress added another feather to her hat by introducing maternity wear of the same brand name for all the mamas. She recently gave birth to her first child with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and during her pregnancy, she shredded light on how difficult it is to find good maternity clothes that suit your personal sense of style and is comfortable to wear.
Priyanka Chopra – Anomaly
Not long-ago Bollywood global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas put an end to hair woes with her curated haircare line ‘Anomaly’ and people in the west have been going gaga about it. Launched in February last year, this cruelty-free and vegan haircare line were available at U.S.-based retail chain target. Being such a hit, the brand was introduced by the actress herself in the Indian market. Suitable for all hair types, Anomaly consists of a range of products including hair masks, dry shampoos, shampoos, and conditioners for deep cleaning of the scalp. Fashion designer turned actress Masaba Gupta this year launched her own beauty and skincare label, LoveChild. The brand offers an extensive range of high-performing products for all ages, skin colours & cultures.
Taking a step towards mental well-being, LoveChild offers its customers Calm the Rocking Chair- Lavender Anti-Anxiety Essential Oil. Apart from that, the label has products like intimate wipes, anti-acne face mist, liquid lipsticks, bullet lipsticks, and nail enamels.
Amitabh Bachchan – Legend 1942
Amitabh Bachchan, the icon who has already contributed so much to the country through his acting skills has lent his vision and charisma by curating the fine art of perfumery and took on a new venture, Legend 1942. Till now 3 ranges of the brand have been introduced Heritage, Flamboyance, and In-DNA, which defies the established code for masculinity and feminine secrets. Distinctly gender-fluid.
Ranveer Singh and Tamannaah Bhatia – Investment in Sugar cosmetics
Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Tamannaah Bhatia this year invested in one of the biggest cosmetic companies in India, Sugar, for their campaign ‘#ShukarHaiSUGARHai’ for an undisclosed amount. For the campaign commercial, the actress was paired up with Ranveer to mesmerize the audience with their sizzling on-screen chemistry. Tamannaah becomes the second Bollywood actor to invest in Sugar Cosmetics after him.
Malaika Arora – Partnership with Namrata Karad to bring Ahikoza to India
The model-actress-entrepreneur Malaika Arora has invested and has joined hands with the young & powerful head honcho - Namrata Karad to bring to India the globally popular artisanal accessories brand, Ahikoza. Namrata and Malaika aimed to recreate the global magic of Ahikoza in India. The brand has already amassed a hugely exclusive club for itself in the international markets panning across USA and Europe. The Indian fashion-savvy women will be able to access Ahikoza and lay their hands on these arm candies which thus far have been seen only on the red carpet.
Kiara Advani – Partnership with Kimirica
Established in 2012, Kiara Advani recently came on board with Kimirica and introduced her favourite Love Story collection which includes scented candles, body wash, lotion, bath salt, and bubble bath. Kimirica is a brand that is conscious, 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and makes the most luxurious bath and wellness products. Sara Ali Khan – Investment in The Souled Store
In just a short span of 3 years, Sara Ali Khan has not only emerged as one of the most bankable actresses but also an influential name in the brand world, endorsing the top ones. This year, the gorgeous actress has turned an entrepreneur! The actress invested in an apparel start-up brand, The Souled Store. TSS, an online brand known for its quirky and fan-based clothing and apparel line has five offline stores. It has over 180 licences, including Disney, Warner Bros., WWE, IPL and Viacom18.
Sonakshi Sinha – So Ezi Nails
Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha announced the launch of her press-on nails brand So Ezi. As mentioned on its website, these press-on nails are long-lasting, cruelty-free, reusable and come in trendy designs. Well, it’s quite a boon for those who love long nails but simply are unable to grow or maintain them. Quite ‘Ezi’ on the pocket as well, the clip-on nails start from the range of Rs.1600 and are available on the brand’s website.
Mira Rajput Kapoor – Investment in Zama Organics and Wellbeing Nutrition
Bollywood sensation Mira Rajput Kapoor this year turned entrepreneur by investing in grocery startup brand Zama Organics and also advocating for the brand’s vision. Mira has always been a strong advocate of healthy, conscious choices and her values strongly align with Zama Organics' vision and mission. The idea of launching her own beauty brand came up in 2019. The brand has exclusive range of products and is available online on their site.
