Not just that, given his rich sartorial legacy in the costume designing world of Bollywood Manish’s spectacular and iconic pieces from the Hindi Film industry also found a way in NMACC’s fashion exhibit. Five of Manish’s design pieces are standing tall in the said museum out of which three are archivals of his famous costumes that he has curated over the years.
The three costumes that hold relevance in Indian cinema’s fashion history include Kajol’s spectacular green outfit from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayene (1995), Kareena Kapoor Khan’s modish sharara pants, which had the fashionistas obsessed for a really long time from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ ‘Desi Girl’ metallic sequin saree with a bikini blouse from Dostana (2008).
