Aamir Khan's father, Tahir Hussain, was a well-known producer. While he backed superhits film in his career, there was a time when he faced a financial crisis. With films put on hold and commercial failures, Tahir had to face tough times. Now, in a recent interview, Aamir recalled the financial troubles his father had to face. The superstar got emotional as he spoke about Tahir's fight with those who had lent him money.
"The thing that would trouble us most was Abba Jaan ko dekh ke. Because he was a very simple man. Maybe he didn't have enough sense that he should not have taken so much loan. Unko problem mein dekh ke takleef hoti thi kyuki un logon ke phone aate the jinse paise liye hain. Unka jhagda shuru hojata tha phone pe ki ‘main kya karu, mere paas paise nahi hai. Meri film atki hai, mere actors ko boliye dates dein mujhe, main kya karu," Aamir told as he spoke about his formative years.
Tahir breathed his last in 2010 due to a massive heart attack. He produced films like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Dulha Bikta Hai (1982), Zakhmee (1975), Anamika (1973) and Caravan (1971). He made his directorial debut with Tum Mere Ho (1990).
Workwise, Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. He has a cameo in Kajol-Vishal Jethwa's Salaam Venky which will release on December 9. At an event, Aamir told that he is taking a break from acting but will focus on producing films.
