Giving Nykaa, Tata Cliq Palette, and others a competition, Reliance Retail launches e-commerce beauty platform Tira

Reliance Industries Limited’s Reliance Retail has launched ‘Tira’ as a new e-commerce platform dedicated to beauty, skincare, and haircare as the business solidifies its focus on the fast-growing beauty market.

However, the platform is now accessible to all Reliance employees, and it will soon be accessible to customers.

“On Tuesday, Reliance Retail introduced Tira, an online beauty platform, as part of its efforts to compete in the beauty e-commerce sector, which is currently dominated by major players such as Nykaa, Tata Cliq Palette, Sephora, SS Beauty by Shoppers' Stop, and Myntra, among others”

The various multi-brand beauty retailers in India, such as Tata Cliq Palette, SS Beauty, and Nykaa, will be competitors of Tira. Reliance Industries is eager to seize this expansion opportunity given that the branded beauty market in India is one with rapid development.

Business Standard stated in October 2022 that Reliance Retail planned to launch its own beauty website, possibly called "Tira Beauty." Also, the company will start operating stores in early 2023, with Jio World Drive in Mumbai perhaps serving as the initial location and intended to establish their retail idea online.

Over the past few years, Reliance has been on a spree by investing in numerous luxury fashion brands including Valentino, and Balenciaga and also invested in Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar among others.

Now, the business will also provide a complete fashion and beauty package by making a significant entrance into the beauty market. So, are you excited?
