Barbie Main Trailer: Margot Robbie’s Barbie has an existential crisis, leave Barbieland to enter the real world with Ryan Gosling’s Ken

The long awaited trailer of Barbie is here. Starring Margot Robbie as our favourite blonde babe and beloved doll along with her boyfriend played by Ryan Gosling, the trailer finally reveals what the film is going to be about – an existential crisis. The lavish pink world of beach blowout party, planned choreography and bespoke song aren’t enough to keep our main Barbie thinking about death, which ultimately leads to something weird happening in her life which she must fix by leaving the Barbieland and exploring the Real World for the answers.

The Barbie movie has a gigantic cast that also includes America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Ariana Greenblatt, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Will Ferrell, Ana Cruz Kayne, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Scott Evans, Jamie Demetriou, Connor Swindells, Sharon Rooney, Nicola Coughlan, Ritu Arya, Dua Lipa, and Helen Mirren.

"If you love Barbie, this movie is for you. If you hate Barbie, this movie is for you,” the clip reads. The film also boasts an impressive soundtrack which will feature the film's stars Ryan Gosling and Dua Lipa, followed by Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Haim, Tame Impala, Ice Spice, and Dominic Fike, rookie K-pop group, Fifty Fifty.

Barbie is directed by Greta Gerwig from a screenplay by Gerwig & Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach based on Barbie by Mattel. The film’s producers are David Heyman, Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Robbie Brenner, with Gerwig, Baumbach, Ynon Kreiz, Richard Dickson, Michael Sharp, Josey McNamara, Courtenay Valenti, Toby Emmerich and Cate Adams serving as executive producers. The film will release internationally on July 19, 2023.
