Kamal Haasan gave his fans a pre-birthday gift on Sunday. The superstar announced his next film on social media. It reunites him with none other than Mani Ratnam after 35 years. The tentative title of the big-budget film is KH234.
Kamal shared the announcement on Twitter. He wrote, "Here we go again! #KH234 (sic)," He also called the film 'a next step in his journey. The music of KH234 will be given by maestro A R Rahman. It is scheduled to release in 2024. The film is produced by Kamal, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran & Siva Ananth.

Talking about the film, Kamal said in a statement, "I was equally excited 35 years before when I was about to start work with Mr. Mani Ratnam. Collaborating with a similar mindset is stimulating. Kamal was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's blockbuster action thriller Vikram co-starring Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi. He is currently shooting for the much-delayed Indian 2 directed by Shankar. The film will reportedly wrap in 2 months. Mani Ratnam is enjoying the success of Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1. The magnum opus starring an ensemble performed exceptionally well at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews from the critics.
Mani Ratnam and Kamal worked together in Nayakan in 1987.
