Neflix has released two new and exciting trailers for its upcoming films. The new trailers for The School for Good and Evil and Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical were dropped pepping up the excitement amongst fans.

Netflix has released the first full trailer for its big-screen adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical. The two-minute teaser shows Emma Thompson as the terrible and abusive Miss Trunchbull, Lashana Lynch as the caring, sweet and understanding Miss Honey and Alisha Weir as the titular (precocious, brave, and laden with psychokinesis power) Matilda Wormwood. The trailer shows Matilda having a tough time with her abusive parents and then her “great escape” from both her wretched home and a school “that’s like a prison.” The film also stars Stephen Graham as Mr Wormwood and Andrea Riseborough as Mrs Wormwood.
Matilda the Musical shows Matilda giving a tough fight to Miss Trunchbull’s abuse in the school and challenges her as she stands for what’s right and acts on her sense of justice, helping others and righting the wrongs in her way. The film is directed by Matthew Warchus, with original music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical is adapted from the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production by screenwriter Dennis Kelly. The film musical is produced by Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan for Working Title, Jon Finn and Luke Kelly of The Roald Dahl Story Company. Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical releases theatrically in the UK and Ireland on November 25 via Sony Pictures UK/TriStar Pictures, in select US theaters on December 9 and finally on December 25 on Netflix.

Adapted from Soman Chainani’s novel of the same name, The School for Good and Evil is Netflix’s fantasy drama that sees best friends Sophie and Agatha’s arrival at the titular school where they seemingly end up in the wrong school. The film has fantasy characters like Rapunzel, Captain Hook and others prepping to embark on their destined stories. Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) is the good girl but ends up in the School for Evil while Agatha (Sofia Wylie), a no-nonsense badass ends up in a princess dress at the School for Good bringing mayhem and chaos in their wake as they start adapting to their newfound roles away from their inner nature. The School for Good and Evil also stars Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Michelle Yeoh, and Laurence Fishburne. The School for Good and Evil premieres on Netflix Oct.19.
