Actress and style maven Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took centre stage as she delivered a spoken word performance at King Charles III's coronation concert on Sunday. The diva, who can do no wrong when it comes to making a sartorial statement, pulled off another gorgeous look that was equal parts classy and equal parts royal.
Styled effortlessly by Nikhil Mansata, Sonam made for a modern-day princess in a custom creation co-designed by Indian designer Anamika Khanna and UK-based Emila Wickstead. The floor-length gown, featuring chic off-the-shoulder sleeves bore a banded shoulder detailing and a cinched waist that defined her corseted bodice. As stated by Vogue, Anamika contributed to the Calico-inspired floral print dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries which were a commonly traded commodity between India and England back then, thus blending the aesthetics of both the East and the West. Those delicate earrings added a dash of dazzle to her dainty fit.
For the makeup, the actress opted for an understated royal glam with pink lips, smokey eyes, defined brows and styled her lustrous mane in soft waves.
Chic and classy, just like the diva! What are your thoughts on Sonam’s coronation look?
